General Renaming
- To convert File Name
To change file name to lower case, Upper case and Proper case. - To Convert Extension
To chnage file extension to lower case, Upper case and Proper case. - Remove extension
Remove extension will remove file extension. - Add or Change extension can change or add file extension in file name.
- Reverse the file names.
You can change " filename.doc " to " emanelif.doc ". - Remove spaces.
Remove spaces. from "file name something.doc " to " filenamesomething.doc " - Swap file part by separator.
For example you have current file names as:
vacation#001.jpg
vacation#002.jpg
vacation#003.jpg
You can rename it to below file names in one click:
001#vacation .jpg
002#vacation.jpg
003#vacation.jpg
You have to give # (hash) as input in input box. Application swaps the file parts from # in the file name. - Swap file name by character position
For example you have current file names as:
vacation#001.jpg
vacation#002.jpg
vacation#003.jpg
You can rename it to below file names in one click:
001#vacation .jpg
002#vacation.jpg
003#vacation.jpg
You have to give 4 (four) as character position in input box. Application swaps the file parts from 4th character position in the file name. - Remove All Characters After
Here you can remove all characters after some text.
For Example you have file name Sales#CompanyName#2009#001#Author#Notes.doc
Here you want to remove everything after 4th # So you give # in the text part and 4 as Occurrence.
It will change file name to Sales#CompanyName#2009#001#.doc - Remove All Characters From
This works same as above but removing text here includes text entered.
In above example here new file name would be Sales#CompanyName#2009#001.doc (last # also removed) - Convert to Windows Format
As you know windows filename cannot contain any of the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > |Now Mac file name could have all these characters except : (Colon)
So if you are someone who frequently exchange files to windows users this feature is just for you.
It will just replace invalid characters with the character(s) of your choice. If you just want to remove these invalid characters then do not type anything in text box.
